Welcome to the official website of the International Airport Development Company Limited (IADCL). The IADCL is a private limited liability company wholly owned by the government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. It was incorporated under the Companies Act of St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The company's mandate is to spearhead and coordinate all matters relating to the financing and construction of the Argyle International Airport and arranging for the effective management of the airport on its completion. Work on the Argyle International Airport began shortly after the Honourable Prime Minister Dr. Ralph E. Gonsalves's historic speech on August 8th, 2005. In that speech, the Prime Minister sets out the government's commitment to the airport project and how the project is to be financed.
The backfilling of the Yambou River crossing or the 220 channel is now underway, following the completion of backfilling in the 191 channel.
All 5,020 pieces of culverts have been installed and the pouring of fluid concrete for the backfilling of the culverts has begun. At the same time, preparatory work to allow for the channeling of the water into the culverts has begun. It is anticipated that this will be done even as the work on backfilling the area continues.
The installation of equipment in several buildings at the Argyle International Airport (AIA), particularly the Passenger Terminal Building, is continuing. Since its completion in December 2013, the Passenger Terminal Building has seen significant retrofitting work to have it ready for operation.
